Our Treatment Focus
Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
Depression & Anxiety
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life. We offer diagnostic evaluations should medication be needed. Our clinicians are not Medical Doctors and cannot offer prescriptions for medication.
Trauma & PTSD
Experiencing trauma can cause anxiety, sleep interruptions, nightmares, isolation, and many other symptoms. Our counselors can help you learn to minimize and manage these symptoms. To do that, we use EMDR, TF-CBT, IFS, and Sand Tray Therapy. For children, we use Play Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy.
Couples Counseling
We love working with couples, the dynamics of relationship energize us and we want to be a part of building better relationships. We take great pride in teaching the skills necessary to fix broken marriages, or increase an existing skill set. We also do pre-marital counseling and provide the documentation to get a discount on your marriage license.
Children & Play Therapy
Play therapy is to children what counseling is to adults. We strive to provide a safe and welcoming environment for children to share and express their emotions, process and make sense of their experiences, and learn healthy skills and behaviors.
"Toys are children's words and play is their language." - Garry Landreth
ADHD Testing & Counseling
We use the Conners Comprehensive Behavior Rating Scales to assess for ADHD. It is a 3 appointment process, the first being the intake, the second observation and the third for results. Our clinicians can offer services beyond testing for ADHD , or referrals if needed. We can complete the process with less than a 10 day wait.
Autism Testing
We combine the ADOS-2, the Sensory Profile 2 , the CARS 2 and the Migdas to gain an accurate picture. Your first appointment is an intake, the second is for testing and the 3rd appointment is to go over the test results, give you some great ideas and complete a sensory diet with you. A diagnosis letter is provided for you to present to your child's pediatrician. We can get you in in less than 2 weeks results in 10 days.
Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) for Foster/Adoption
We recognize that foster care can be a challenging and stressful experience for both children and families. Several of our clinicians are trained in TBRI and specialize in working with foster/adoptive children & families.
Kids in foster care have experienced trauma, which affects their attachment abilities, behaviors, mental health, and development. They often struggle with trust and forming healthy relationships with caregivers. Many foster parents feel at a loss for how to handle difficult behaviors and/or form connections. Our clinicians are passionate about helping foster/adoptive families!
Facilitated Communication
We work with non-verbal individuals teaching them how to communicate through typing and using letter boards. Our facilitators are patient, understand the behavior melt downs that come with Autism and other disorders or physical disabilities. We work with adults and children and are passionate about increasing the opportunities that come with communication.
Gardiner Scholarship
We have several counselors that are Gardiner providers and are happy to provide proper documentation and invoices so that parents can be reimbursed for services provided.
