Student Internships and Training Opportunities

I was an intern at KR Counseling for seven months. I had a phenomenal experience as an intern and felt like I was a valued team member. KR Counseling was more than just a school internship site, it was a place I was able to step into my own as a future clinician. Kelley did not only provide ample resources, trainings, and insights, but also challenged me in new ways which allowed me to grow as an individual within this field. In my time at KR Counseling, I was provided the opportunity to shadow therapists using a variety of modalities with various client presentations, to begin building experience with my own client caseload, and to continuously gain clinical knowledge through trainings and continuing education. Kelley and other clinicians assisted me in building a solid foundation of clinical, practical, and ethical knowledge that has left me equipped to work with diverse populations. I wouldn’t be the same therapist I am today without the support and guidance from the team at KR Counseling!   Employed.  Opened her own solo practice.
