I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and have years of experience working with those struggling to overcome trauma. I am also trained in anxiety and depression techniques, as well as EMDR (trauma therapy), Gottman Therapy (for couples), and divorce recovery. Adults— We are impacted by past events, which can result in unhealthy coping mechanisms and negative core beliefs about ourselves and/or the world. Even when we "know" our behaviors and thoughts aren't helpful, sometimes we just feel so stuck and aren't sure what, if anything, will help. That’s where I come in—I help individuals overcome past struggles, challenge & replace negative beliefs, process past traumas, and develop healthy coping skills.
Children/Adolescents— Kiddos face their own difficulties-- behaviorally, emotionally, socially, academically, etc. I have a true passion for working with and helping kiddos who are struggling. I provide an environment for them to safely explore and express their emotions, process any past traumas, and develop necessary skills. Using play therapy, TBRI, behavior modification, CBT, and a combination of other approaches, I assist children in overcoming their struggles and current barriers, learning new coping mechanisms, and helping them find ways to redirect inappropriate behaviors, allowing them the opportunity to thrive.
